Thank you for your co-operation in the preparation of your manuscript for the SAMOS Conference. The conference proceedings will be published in the Springer LNCS and will also become available through Digital Libraries. Therefore, all submissions MUST adhere to the LNCS specification for compatibility. In the following, you can find the information on how to properly format your manuscript. Please read the author instructions from Springer-Verlag HERE. The use of LaTeX is strongly recommended. Templates (for Microsoft Word and LaTex), sample files, and useful links can be found HERE.
Papers submitted to SAMOS should contain 16 pages maximum: 12 pages will be included in the registration fee and up to 4 more pages can be purchased at the time of registration for 50€ per extra page.
How to upload your submission for Review:
Please read the author instructions from Springer-Verlag HERE when preparing the camera-ready version of your paper. Submit a copy of your submission in PDF format via the Softconf submission website:Submission Website
How to upload the camera-ready version of your paper:
Step 1: Please read the author instructions from Springer-Verlag HERE when preparing the camera-ready version of your paper. Prepare a ZIP file without subdirectories inside. If you wrote your paper using LaTex, the ZIP file should contain your LaTeX source code files with all the associated style files, special fonts and eps files needed to compile your submission, and the resulting PDF file. If you wrote your paper using MS Word, please include the DOC, DOCX, or RTF source file, plus the PDF. If you use LaTeX, references are to be supplied as BBL files to avoid omission of data while conversion from BIB to BBL. Please do not include any unnecessary file in the ZIP file. There should be one set of source files and one pdf file per paper. Do not change the margins or page format of the template. The length of the papers is limited to 16 pages (12 pages will be included in the registration fee and up to 4 more pages can be purchased at the time of registration for 50€ per extra page). In both cases (LaTeX or MS Word), the PDF file must be named submission.pdf.
Step 2: Download the copyright form here and fill in the form. Please do not change the fields: Title of the Book or Conference Name and Volume Editor(s) Name(s).
When you are ready to submit you camera-ready files and copyright form, log in to your Softconf account. You will be required to:
- Upload a ZIP archive file containing one set of source files and one PDF copy of your camera-ready paper, as described in Step 1;
- Upload the Copyright Form in PDF format, filled in, as described in Step 2;
- Upload (again) a PDF copy of your camera-ready. The PDF file must be named submission.pdf
- Provide the email address of the corresponding author. When submitting their paper, the authors should allot a corresponding author, who must be available to carry out a proof check of the paper. He or she is given a 72-hour time-slot to do so. The corresponding author is the one who signs the copyright form on behalf of all of the authors. Please note that the corresponding author cannot be changed once the paper and the copyright form have been sent to Springer. The corresponding author will be contacted by Springer-Verlag.
If you still have questions or problems, please send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org explaining your inquiry.
Thank you again for participating in this conference. We look forward to receiving your materials in a timely manner.
